Operations including plastic surgery and joint replacements are likely to restart in NSW from next week, after the closure of vaccination clinics and COVID-19 wards free hundreds of private hospital staff to return to regular duties.
Health Minister Brad Hazzard said discussions were under way to resume all categories of elective surgery from next week, as the number of COVID-19 hospitalisations continued to decline.
